Santiago City, Philippines – The University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS) was honored with a “highest commendation” by the city government on September 19, 2024. The recognition celebrated the institution’s 72nd Founding Anniversary and highlighted its 50 years of dedicated service to the community through the La Salette Pananagutan Center (LSPC).
The LSPC, a center of ULS, is committed to serving the community through various outreach programs and providing volunteerism activities, and opportunities for students and employees to share their time, treasure, and talents for community service. These include sharing the message of Our Lady of La Salette and instilling the core values of the university.

The award was presented during the ULS Gawad Parangal 2024, a ceremony recognizing the pride, commitment, and services of ULS employees. Through Resolution No. 11THCC-349, sponsored by City Councilors Arlene Jane Alvarez-Reyes, Marcelino C. Cabucana, Jr., and Nicoline Shane A. Miranda, the city commended the LSPC for its exemplary service to Santiago City since its foundation in 1974.
The resolution was attested by City Vice Mayor Alvin N. Abaya and approved by the Sangguniang Lungsod, Ex-Officio Members, and City Mayor Atty. Sheena P. Tan, CPA.
