The University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS), in partnership with the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA), hosted the Cagayan Valley International Volunteer Year (IVY) 2026 Forum on June 29, via Zoom and Facebook Live, as part of the year-round celebration of the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development 2026.


The IVY 2026 Forum was attended by educators, students, alumni, representatives of government agencies, civil society organizations, and community stakeholders from across the Cagayan Valley Region.
The program included panel discussions and presentations on volunteer engagement in education, governance, and community development. Serving as speakers were Marjorie S. Magbitang, faculty member of ULS, Bernard Joseph L. Ariola, Director of ULS Community Extension, John Noel E. Fermin, Director of the Human Resource Management of ULS, Mr. Francis D. Cordova, Education Program Specialist II of CHED Region II, Mr. Mark Duque, Head of Operations of Mr. Delivery PH, Mr. Ricky Valdez, Farm Manager of FDN Integrated Farm, Dr. Christopher Allen Marquez, Director of the Community Engagement and Indigenous Peoples Studies Center of Saint Mary’s University, and Ms. Daryl Alva B. Duguran, Assistant Professor III of Batanes State College.
Mr. Jemmerson Eugenio, 2025 Search for Outstanding Volunteers (SOV) Regional Awardee, served as the Master of Ceremonies.
Among those who delivered messages were Hon. Edgar Aglipay, Governor of the Province of Cagayan and Chair of the Regional Development Council II; Kenneth C. Siruelo, Chief Volunteer Service Officer and Officer-in-Charge of the Policy, Advocacy, and Technical Services Division (PATSD) of PNVSCA; Dr. Madeilyn B. Estacio, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Graduate School of ULS; and Mr. Donald James D. Gawe, Executive Director of PNVSCA.








The forum reinforced the role of volunteerism in strengthening collaboration among stakeholders and advancing community-based initiatives toward sustainable development in the region.
