The College of Criminal Justice Education and the College of Information Technology of the University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS) conducted a house‑to‑house distribution of flyers as part of a fire safety awareness campaign and introduced the TRACK, ALERT, NOTIFY, DEPLOY (TANOD) System to residents of Barangay Nabbuan on March 14, 2026.
Students from the Criminal Justice Education program went door‑to‑door to raise awareness on fire safety, distributing informational materials and demonstrating proper fire prevention practices and emergency response procedures. The activity aimed to equip community members with knowledge on home safety, emergency preparedness, and appropriate responses during fire incidents.

The students focused on reducing fire risks associated with appliances and electrical wiring, maintaining safe exits, remaining calm during emergencies, and properly contacting emergency services. Residents participated in the discussions and engaged with the students throughout the activity.
Meanwhile, students from the College of Information Technology introduced the “Track, Alert, Notify, Deploy” (TANOD) Communications System, a digital platform designed to support incident reporting and emergency response at the barangay level.

The system enables residents to report incidents, request emergency assistance, and assist barangay officials in managing and organizing responses through a mobile‑based platform. It also provides a structured and digitized approach to monitoring and coordinating community‑level emergencies.
The initiative provides the integration of community outreach and technological innovation, bringing together academic programs to support public safety and awareness at the grassroots level.
