ULS Holds Advent Recollection for Employees

SANTIAGO CITY — The University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS) held its Employees’ Advent Recollection on November 29, 2025, at the 3rd Floor of the ULS Center for Professional Development Building, with the theme “The Eucharist: Source of Hope and Light in Our Advent Journey.”

The activity, organized by the Christian Formation Office, provided employees with an opportunity for spiritual renewal as the community prepares for the Christmas season.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Christian M. Pilotin, MS, MA, University Chaplain, served as the resource speaker and opened the session by reflecting on the centrality of the Eucharist in the life of every Catholic. He emphasized that the Eucharist is both a source of hope and a call to deeper conversion.

Fr. Pilotin explained that participating in the Mass forms an essential part of Christian life and reminded the employees that ULS celebrates the Holy Mass daily, inviting them to take part more actively in the university’s spiritual activities.

The recollection also highlighted the importance of the habit of a personal encounter with Christ through prayer and reflection.

The participants were guided through a period of spiritual reflection, which allowed them to contemplate their faith and all the blessings they have received.

A period of adoration followed, the employees were given 30 minutes quiet moment for contemplation and then concluded with the celebration of the Eucharist.

The annual recollection forms part of the university’s continuing commitment to strengthening the spiritual life of its teaching and non-teaching staff.
