ULS CTE Join MATHTEX 2026 Teacher Training on Algebra at UPLB

Representatives from the College of Teacher Education (CTE) of the University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS) participated in MATHTEX 2026: Teacher Training on Algebra, held from April 23 to 25, 2026, at the Mathematics Building of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).

The ULS delegation included CTE Dean Kristine Jean G. Salvia, Ph.D., mathematics faculty member Jonathan Beltran Jr., and Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) major in Mathematics students Maria Lourdes V. Baniaga, Angelica A. Rivera, Princess L. Pillien, Tristan Rae D. Torres, and Maia Gail S. Sabado.

MATHTEX 2026 is an on‑site teacher training program designed for professional and pre‑service high school teachers seeking to deepen their understanding of algebra and improve classroom instruction. The training focuses on enhancing content knowledge and strengthening pedagogical approaches in teaching algebra.

The participation of CTE faculty members and students forms part of the university’s continuing efforts to support faculty development and provide students with enrichment opportunities aligned with current trends in mathematics education.
