JONES, ISABELA – The Graduate School Library, in collaboration with the Community Extension Office and Graduate School, facilitated “BOOKlod: pULSo ng Saletino, Handog BOOKlat, Tinig ng Karunungan,” another School Book Donations and Storytelling Outreach, held at San Vicente Elementary School (SVES), last December 10, 2025.












Emmanuel T. Mendoza, RL, MLIS, the Director of ULS Instructional Media Center, introduced the purpose of the activity, to improve literacy and reading comprehension of the children through book donations, and emphasized the importance of the activity in addressing the lack of reading materials. “Paano natin sila matutulungan matuto magbasa kung wala naman tayong mga reading materials? Ito ang isa sa main purpose ng ating book donation,” he said.
Jaycell A. Tucay and Junema A. Samiling, Master of Arts in Education students, shared the story of “The Three Little Pigs and the Wolf” and “Ang Prinsesita at ang Buwan” to the students in an interactive manner and highlighted the moral lessons of the stories.
The activity is a component of the 91st National Book Week Celebration 2025 which promotes reading and accessible knowledge in communities.
