ULS launches 29th Dugong Saletino; gathers 191 successful blood donors

The University of La Salette (ULS) gathered 196 successful blood donors during the 29th Dugong Saletino: Mobile Blood Donation Drive held on February 13 at the CB Building, Salettinian Mission Complex.

The biannual activity was organized by the College of Medicine and Allied Medical Programs (CMAMP) in collaboration with the Medical Laboratory Science Department, Philippine Society of Medical Technology Students (PHISMETS)–ULS Chapter, CMAMP Student Volunteers, and the Southern Isabela Medical Center.

With the theme “Dugo mo’y kailangan: Dugong dumadaloy sa iyong bisig ang siyang magiging tulay upang magsalba ng buhay,” the drive emphasized the importance of blood donation in saving lives.

Students, faculty members, and community residents participated in the initiative, contributing to the total number of successful donors.

Organizers emphasized that beyond saving lives, the activity also strengthens the partnership between the university and the community through service and compassion.
