ULS Hosts Testimonial Gathering for Newly Licensed Social Workers, Psychometricians

SANTIAGO CITY – The College of Arts and Sciences in collaboration with the ULS Psychological Society and Junior Social Workers  of the Association of the Philippines – ULS Chapter conducted the first testimonial gathering with the theme, “Celebrating Success, Inspiring Service: From Salettinian Learners to Licensed Professionals” held at the 2nd floor, CPD Building today, October 23.

Board passers of the September 2025 Social Workers Licensure Examination and Psychometricians Licensure Examination participated in the activity together with the OIC Dean, faculty and graduating students from Social Work and Psychology program.

The purpose of the activity is to celebrate the success of the board passers, give thanks to God through a mass led by Rev. Fr. Joseph Christian M. Pilotin, MS, MA, and inspire graduating students with the testimonies of newly licensed professionals of their experiences. 

“I prayed for a flower but God gave me a bouquet. And each petal tells a story,” said Trisha Dianne Ramos, RSW, former CAS Governor, as she retold her story of overcoming challenges as a student leader and during her preparation for the boards. 

Speakers of the event also expressed their gratitude for the support they received from the department, institution and administration on their journey as a learner into a licensed professional. 

“I am proud to say that as a graduate of the University of La Salette that I was able to embody the core values that we have,” said Joanna Marie Soriano, RSW, former Student Executive Council officer, who shared her journey in taking the board exams and working in her field, encouraging everyone to have confidence on themselves and to give importance to the Salettinian core values especially the value of integrity and excellence.

Madeilyn B. Estacio, Ph.D. gave her congratulatory remarks, acknowledging the hardship and commitment it takes to work in both professions, and expressed her gratitude to the students for trusting the teachers and the institution. 

Clariza C. Sanchez, RPm,  also delivered her speech with deep appreciation saying, “Our victory is your victory din. Our answered prayer po is your answered prayer din,” and emphasized how her faith to God helped her achieved what she has at present.

The gathering highlights the continued efforts of the university to provide quality education and serves as an inspiration to the next batch of board exam takers.
