LOS BAÑOS, LAGUNA — The University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS) Debate Team ranked ninth overall in the Luzon Intervarsity 2025, a national-level British Parliamentary debate tournament held at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) from October 18 to 19, 2025.

Competing among 50 teams from tertiary institutions across the country, Salettinian debaters Lance Elijah Vergara, Matt David Dela Cruz, and Kurt Lander Patungan advanced through four debate matches and secured a place among the top-performing teams in the tournament. Vergara was also named the 18th Best Speaker, while Dela Cruz placed 23rd Best Speaker overall.

The Ateneo de Manila University, the University of the Philippines–Manila, and De La Salle University were this year’s grand finalists.
