SANTIAGO CITY — The University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS) launched Phase 1 of EduTransform—Bridging Pedagogy and Technology in Basic Education under its joint extension program, ULS Tarabay (ULS Guide): Salettinian Support for 21st Century Educators, on June 3–4, 2025, at the ULS Center for Professional Development.
The College of Teacher Education (CTE) in collaboration with the College of Information Technology (CIT) and the Graduate School (GS) initiated the two-day training aimed to enhance the information and communications technology (ICT) competence and pedagogical practices of 25 public school teachers from ULS partner schools—Nabbuan Integrated School and Cabulay Elementary School.
The program featured sessions on maximizing updated PowerPoint features, using free educational software, and applying learner-centered strategies aligned with the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum. Participants engaged in hands-on activities that allowed them to create interactive digital learning materials, complemented by group sharing and reflection activities to encourage collaboration.

CTE facilitated discussions on differentiated instruction and innovative teaching strategies, while GS provided inputs on legal and psychosocial concerns, including child protection and bullying prevention. CIT led the technical sessions, focusing on the practical use of digital tools in classroom instruction.
ULS said the initiative underscores its commitment to strengthening public school education by integrating technology with sound pedagogy. EduTransform marks the first phase in a five-part capacity-building series under the ULS Tarabay program, which seeks to support educators in adapting to a technology-driven and learner-focused academic environment.
