In celebration of Jubilee 2025, the University of La Salette, Inc. School Administration together with Barangay officials of Nabbuan signed the memorandum of agreement (MOA) of the new partnership between the institution and the adapted barangay at the President’s Conference Room on February 7, 2025. This three-year contract acknowledges Barangay Nabbuan as one of the University’s partner communities for extension programs and initiatives. “May this partnership of University of La Salette and Nabbuan be able to help one another,” said the University President, Rev. Fr. Franklin G. Picio, MS, PHD.

In a renewed commitment to community development, the University of La Salette, Inc. is integrating the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its community engagement and extension program. This initiative aims to foster sustainable and inclusive growth within the community.

Meanwhile, Nabbuan Barangay Captain Rolando Tablada expressed his gratitude saying that “Barangay Nabbuan is happy with the partnership.” La Salette Pananagutan Center (LSPC) Director Bernard Joseph L. Ariola, LPT, CHRA, said that this is an opportunity for both the school and Nabbuan to extend one’s help for another not just only for the three years indicated in the MOA, but hopefully for life. Vice President for Academic Affairs Madeilyn B. Estacio, PHD, Vice President for Administration Rev. Fr. Pedro Q. Dolar, MS, MA, Office of Student Services and Affairs Director Limuel Arjay Esteban, MBA, and Student Executive Council President Jaylord Velayo were also present and included in the said MOA. Barangay Nabbuan is the succeeding barangay in partnership after the previous collaboration with Barangay Cabulay, Santiago City.
