ULS Paskuhan 2024 Raises Funds to Young Cancer Patient and its Adopted Barangay

Santiago City, Philippines – The University of La Salette, Inc. recently concluded its annual fundraising event, ULS Paskuhan 2024, with an amount raised of P150,000.00 to support Jaderiel Seth “Jad” A. Aquino, Grade 6 pupil from ULS Grade School Department, bravely fighting malignant spindle cell neoplasm/osteosarcoma and selected beneficiaries Brgy. Nabuan, Santiago City.

The ULS Paskuhan 2024 doesn’t only entertained students but also embodied the university’s core values, particularly extending help to those in need. The spirit of Christmas was palpable as the Salettinian community came together for a meaningful celebration.

The university is set to continue its charitable endeavors with the upcoming “ULS Alay sa Belen: A Tradition of Love and Service” outreach program, scheduled on December 22, 2024, which was highlighted as another testament to the university’s commitment to community service. The entire ULS community, alumni, donors, and stakeholders played pivotal roles in organizing and executing the program.

Jad’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Aquino from Bugallon Proper, Ramon, Isabela, attended a mass at the Our Lady of La Salette Chapel, presided over by the University Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Ian P. Ronquillo, MS. Following the mass, Mrs. Jayveeh Ann Aquino expressed deep gratitude to the La Salette community and donors for their support in her son’s battle against cancer. This act of kindness exemplifies the university’s core values of solidarity and faith.

In a gesture of compassion and care, University President, Rev. Franklin G. Picio, MS, PhD, extended his heartfelt wishes for Jad’s healing journey and thanked the entire Salettinian family for their unwavering support of the institution’s various initiatives.
