ULS celebrates 2019 Mass of the Holy Spirit

University of La Salette welcomed more than 2,500 freshmen, transferees, and old students as they hailed this academic year’s first community mass or Mass of the Holy Spirit, August 2 at the New Gym of the said university.

University President Rev. Fr, Franklin G. Picio, MS, Ph.D. with University Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Stevan G. Munar, MS and Vice President for Administration Rev. Fr. Pedro Q. Dolar, MS presided the said event at the new gymnasium where college and senior high school students, faculty, and staff joined.

Student Executive Council officers and governors together with the University of La Salette Employees Association officers took their oath-taking ceremony before the mass’ final blessing.

Salettinian Dance Troupe lighted the way as they interpreted worship songs.

“Masarap sa feeling as a student and at the same time, bilang servant, kasi sa mismong performance, nawawala ‘yung pagod mo kung nakaharap ka na sa altar,” College of Education, Chairperson of the dance troupe, Alvin Pera, said in an interview.

On the afternoon, each department had their acquaintance party with its own theme to promote camaraderie as they welcome the school year 2019-2020.
