The Ayala Young Leaders Congress (AYLC) will bring together 80 of the most promising student leaders from colleges and universities from all over the country this coming February 2019. The Congress will last for four days which will involve workshops, lectures, outdoor activities, plenary sessions and discussions designed to hone the students’ leadership skills and potential, to build confidence, nurture commitment, foster nationalism and idealism, and encourage faithful stewardship.
The year’s Salettinian representative, Shaira Ramirez, a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy Student and the current Student Executive Council Treasurer, managed to reach the cut for the Top 80 participants.
“I am excited to participate this year’s AYLC. After 6 years of the non-inclusion in the list of Top 80 participants of previous Salettinian students, I am so lucky to have been picked and have the privilege to be with our country’s future young leaders. The selection process was quite tough. More than 5000 students applied while only 169 passed the interview and finally 80 students were selected from it. I will surely enjoy this once in a lifetime opportunity and experience.”, Ramirez said.
