Stefane B. Cerezo, Cristian P. Sudaria, Hazel B. Sebastian, Romar D. De Asis, and Janelle Ann F. Castillo, students from the College of Information Technology (CIT) of the University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS), placed second in the Code & Conquer Cagayan Valley: E-Sports Game Development Challenge during the DOST Region II Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) 2026, held from September 9 to 11 at the Cagayan Provincial Coliseum, Tuguegarao City.
Competing as F.I.R.E.S Dev, the students participated under the guidance of Jayson S. Nacorda, MIT, who served as their coach.
During the first two days, the team demonstrated its developed game to students and other participants while conducting tests and addressing technical issues encountered during the demonstrations.
On the final day, F.I.R.E.S Dev presented and pitched the game before the competition evaluators, explaining its concept, development process, and features before earning second place in the challenge.
