The University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS) conducted a two-day Capacity-Building Session on Internationalization and University Ranking Techniques on July 1–2, 2026, at the 2nd Floor of the CPD Building.

Employees and student leaders participated in the training, which focused on internationalization frameworks, global academic partnerships, quality assurance mechanisms, and key performance indicators used in national and international university rankings.

Madeilyn B. Estacio, Ph.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs, organized the program in collaboration with Rouel Ramirez, DPA,  Director of External Affairs and International Relations.

Serving as resource speaker was Dr. Sonny Soriano, Director of the Office of External Affairs and Linkages of Urdaneta City University, Pangasinan.

On the first day, participants were introduced to global university ranking systems and frameworks, including the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI). Discussions focused on the role of ranking systems in measuring institutional performance and international engagement.

The second day included a discussion on the WURI framework, followed by a writing workshop where participants accomplished potential submission entries. Participants then presented their outputs and received feedback and recommendations from the resource speaker.

The said program aimed to familiarize both employees and student-leaders with ideas and practices related to internationalization and university rankings while enhancing their capacity to contribute to institutional development, global engagement, and ranking initiatives.
