A. To develop in each student an awareness of his uniqueness, his capacity, potentialities and abilities through the use of:
- Counseling techniques such as reflection, clarification, summarization, positive reinforcement, etc.
- Test results
- Guidance information such as academic report, clarification, student self-report, teachers and parents reports and individual inventory.
By these tools and techniques, the students will be assisted and thus will be able to:
- Make responsible decisions in any aspect of life, personal, educational, vocational, social, political and religious problems they may encounter.
- Participate actively as mature leaders in building up the society.
- Make necessary adjustments in rapidly developing country and become happy prosperous individuals in the society they live in.
B. To give assistance to the Administration, Deans and Instructors in the areas of:
- Vocational and curriculum planning to ensure a well-developed and balance life of the students.
- Implementation and evaluation of the objectives of the school.
- Instruction and classroom management by assisting instructors in finding a workable solution to some of their instructional and classroom problems through case conferences, professional sharing on classroom management and character development of students.
- Professional growth of teachers by providing in service training and seminars, information on scholarships and grants offered in the country and abroad.
C. To promote home-school partnership in creating atmosphere conducive to learning by guiding parents with opportunities for acquiring skills in parenting, interpreting guidance data and similar activities.
