Pormal na binuksan ngayong araw, Oktubre 13, ang Salettinian SDG Center sa Ground Floor ng Center for Professional Development Building ng University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS).

Dinaluhan ito ng mga administrators, deans, office heads, faculty members, at student leaders mula sa iba’t ibang departamento ng unibersidad.

‎Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-diin ni Dr. Madeilyn B. Estacio, Vice President for Academic Affairs, ang kahalagahan ng pag-integrate ng Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) sa mga programa ng paaralan.

“This is not just the opening of a new facility; it is the beginning of a stronger commitment to form students and researchers who help build a compassionate, sustainable world,” ani Dr. Estacio.

Ipinahayag din ni Dr. Estacio na si Bernard Joseph L. Ariola, LPT, CHRA, Director ng La Salette Pananagutan Center, ang itinalagang focal person ng Salettinian SDG Center.

Pinangunahan ni Rev. Fr. Joey Balusat, M.S., Chaplain ng Basic Education Department, ang pagbabasbas ng bagong pasilidad.

Dumalo rin nang virtual sina Mr. Donald James Gawe, CESO III, Executive Director ng Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA); Dr. Carl E. Balita, Founder ng Carl Balita Review Center; Mr. Dionisio C. Ledres Jr., Regional Director ng Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) Region 2; at Dr. Arnaud Peral, Resident Coordinator ng United Nations Philippines.

Layunin ng proyektong ito na magbigay-kaalaman at inspirasyon upang higit pang mapalakas ang pangkabuuang pag-unlad ng komunidad ng La Salette tungo sa mas makatao at sustenableng kinabukasan.
