ULS participates in National Seminar-Workshop on Research

With the aim of raising the standards in research mentoring and building the future of a sustainable La Salette community, a team from the University of La Salette led by Dr. Belinda A. Ramos, Research Director, together with the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Madeilyn B. Estacio, Ph.D. and 14 others, participated in the National Seminar-Workshop on Research Publication, Advising, and Paneling Techniques on April 11-12, 2023 at Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) in Cabanatuan City.

          Dr. Genaro V. Japos, who is from the Philippine Association of Institutions for Research, Inc., was the resource speaker. He shared his expertise in the different aspects of research mentoring, particularly scientific and manuscript writing for journal publications; research advising for scientific publications; diagnosing infirmities in the different parts of the thesis both structure and processes; the role of the adviser in the writing of a manuscript for publication; research paneling; causes of rejection of publishable papers; and anatomy of co-authorship arrangements with mentees: policy, ethics and accountability.

          The event was participated not only by schools/colleges and state universities within Luzon, but also from Visayas and Mindanao.
