ULS-SEC holds relief operation

To answer the call for assistance of the victims of Taal’s ongoing volcanic activity, the Student Executive Council (SEC), in cooperation with the Local Councils (LCs) and Faculty and Staff of the University of La Salette, Inc. (ULS), spearheaded a relief operation for the people affected by the said phenomena.

The relief operation was entitled Saletino: Tulong at Alalay sa Taal which started last January 17, 2020, and ended on the afternoon of January 24, 2020, where repacking begun.

Jay Mark Ganal, SEC President, together with the other officers, college governors and student volunteers of ULS started the repacking of the donated goods for transportation and distribution on the night of January 24.

All goods were received from the school’s drop-off site, the Office of the Student Services and Affairs.

The goods consists of beddings, clothes, hygiene kits, canned goods, rice, and masks.

Faculty members were also present and are in full support for the operation.

“Nakakatuwang isipin na marami pa rin sa atin ang handang tumulong sa ating mga kababayan. Nananalaytay sa atin ang pagiging likas na matulungin at sana ang ating munting tulong ay makabawas sa kanilang paghihirap dulot ng pag-alburoto ng Taal.” Ganal said during the repacking.
