TUGUEGARAO CITY – The Commission on Higher Education – Region 02 (CHED R02) spearheaded the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Month celebration at Cagayan State University (CSU) Carig Campus, Tuguegarao City last August 27, 2019, with the theme “Advancing Partnership for Sustainability”.

Four Salettinians made their way to CSU Carig, together with Mrs. Marjorie S. Magbitang, MPA, Dean of the Office of Student Affairs and Services, to participate in the said event.

Cristian Sudaria, a second year BS Architechture student, won 3rd place in the Slogan-Making Competition, beating 24 other contestants.

“It is very overwhelming that I had the chance to be part of the place holders. It gave me joy that I made my school and family happy and proud,” Sudaria said after the acceptance of his award.

Team ULS, consisted of Jed Gilo, BMLS, Jhemson Mina, BSCE and Rona Alde, BS PolScie, were part of the Quiz Bee Competition as Regional Qualifiers.

“The quiz was good, but if given a lot more time to prepare, we could have aced the competition.” Alde said.

Approximately 27 Higher Education Institutions  were present during the event, giving a total of merely 160 participants all over region two.

Poster making and Digital Storytelling were also some of the activities done in the event.
