SEC forefronts ISCOLAR ’19

Student Executive Council (SEC) of the University of La Salette, Inc. spearheaded ISCOLAR 9: Ignite 2019 with the theme, “Lighting One’s Path with a Torch of Leadership” at the Conference Hall, Third Floor, Center of Professional Development (CPD), August 3.


A total number of 382 student-leaders attended the said event and wore designated colors according to their positions in their respective clubs, organizations, and other affiliations.


The said leadership and teambuilding activity is an annual assembly of student-leaders initiated by SEC and the Office of the Student Affairs and Services to promote camaraderie among colleges and instill leadership through their initiative.


SEC President Jay Mark Ganal gave the opening remarks on behalf of Marjorie Magbitang, MPA, Dean of Student Services and Affairs, who latterly discussed the importance of re-accreditation and its requirements.
Joel Quiňones, who went after Ganal, oriented the student-leaders about their action plans and the essence of their vision, mission, goals, and objectives.


During an interview, Ericka Fie Mislang, first-year mayor of the College of Accountancy, said that it was her first time becoming a student-leader.
“Natutunan ko kung ano ang kahalagahan ng teamwork at brainstorming. Magagamit ko iyon in every activity na gagawin natin,” Mislang mentioned.
Before they went home, Isagani Gregorio, gave words of wisdom about the enhancement of leadership skills of every Salettinian.


The tracks which were part of the program were: Governance track which included presidents, vice presidents, governors, vice governors, chairmen, vice chairmen, and representatives, who wore color Red, while, the Communication track which consisted of secretaries wore Blue, Finance Management track in particular with the treasurers and auditors wore yellow, and Business and Information management track wore green.
